Hi, I’m Gabriel. I shoot what feels real — even when it’s not.
I’m a Brazilian student based in the U.S., double majoring in Film and International Relations. I’m currently exploring how stories — whether cinematic or political — can feel personal, even when they’re layered in systems, fiction, or policy. My work is still evolving, but I’m drawn to moments that say something honest — a quiet look, an awkward pause, or something that just doesn’t sit right. I’ve worked on short films, theater productions, and photography projects, and I’m always experimenting with how form and feeling collide.

I believe stories don’t need to be loud to matter — sometimes the small things stick. Whether I’m thinking through a film or a global issue, I’m interested in the tension between what’s shown and what’s left unsaid, and how that silence can speak louder than dialogue. Right now, I’m learning, unlearning, and trying to create things that reflect that messy process.
I split my time between filmmaking and studying international relations — two fields that, for me, are deeply connected.  If you’re curious about the work I’ve done so far — from projects to leadership roles — feel free to check out my resume by clicking here.
Being on set is where everything clicks for me — it’s chaotic, collaborative, and always full of surprises. Whether I’m behind the camera, directing a scene, or just figuring things out with the crew, I’m drawn to the rhythm of working with others to shape something meaningful. I like the challenge of adjusting in the moment, trusting instincts, and letting the story evolve with every take.
There’s a kind of honesty that comes out when people are present and invested — and that’s what I chase. Each project teaches me something new, not just about filmmaking, but about listening, adapting, and paying attention to the small things that often carry the most weight.
I’ve completed several certified programs from institutions like NYU, Harvard, and UNICEF, covering topics in filmmaking, diplomacy, and child protection.
